Citrus Heights, CA.- Jeanine Ethelwyn Owen, 66, was hit and killed by a vehicle at a business parking lot in Citrus Heights last week on Monday, according to the Sacramento County Coroner's Office.
The incident took place in the 6900 block of Sunrise Boulevard on Monday, May 26.
According to the report, a vehicle was traveling through the Foodmaxx parking lot at a low rate of speed when it hit a pedestrian walking in the area.
The victim, identified as Owen, died following the accident.
The male driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
