
Phoenix, CA – The motorcyclist who was killed after a motorcycle and a car collided at an intersection in Central Phoenix Monday night has been identified.
The victim has been identified as 70-year-old Jeffrey Barnes-Aversa.
The fatal accident occurred at about 10:10 p.m. on July 14 at 16th Street and Riverview Drive.
Detectives said Jeffrey Aversa was traveling northbound on 16th Street on a motorcycle when he collided with a vehicle turning onto 16th Street from Riverview Drive.
Aversa was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries but was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The vehicle driver remained at the scene.
No additional details were provided, and the incident remains under investigation.
