Jennifer Nichols Killed in Jamul Car Crash on State Route 94 near Honey Springs Road
Jamul, California (February 7, 2022) – Jennifer Kathleen Nichols, 48, of Bonita was killed in a traffic crash caused by a boat that came off a trailer on Saturday evening in Jamul, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision happened on State Route 94 near Honey Springs Road shortly after 6:20 p.m. February 5.
CHP said a vehicle traveling on SR 94 was towing a boat when, for unknown reasons, it became detached and collided with at least one other vehicle.

Emergency crews who responded to the scene extricated Nichols, who was trapped in the wreckage.
Nichols was rushed to Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego, where she was pronounced deceased.
No other injuries were reported in the incident.
The California Highway Patrol is working to determine what led up to the collision.
