Jerome Perry ID'd as Driver Killed in San Luis Obispo Crash on Highway 1 and San Luisito Creek Road
San Luis Obispo, California (January 5, 2021) – The driver who was killed in a two-vehicle collision in San Luis Obispo on New Year's Eve has been identified as Jerome A. Perry, 62, of San Luis Obispo, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
At around 7:22 p.m. December 31, Perry was reportedly driving a Chevrolet pickup truck southbound on Highway 1 when he made a left turn into the path of a northbound Hyundai Sonata driven by Gerardo Aldama, 38, of Santa Maria.
The Hyundai crashed into the side of the pickup truck, which caught fire following the collision.
The crash happened at San Luisito Creek Road.

CHP said Perry died following the collision.
No other injuries were reported in the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
