Joey Hagedorn Killed in Car Crash on 15 Freeway in Baker
San Bernardino, California (August 9, 2022) – 24-year-old Joey Dee Hagedorn was killed in a Saturday morning car accident that occurred in Baker.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at around 5:30 a.m. on Interstate 15 Freeway.
Hagedorn was driving a Mercedes Benz sedan north on the freeway when he crashed into the rear of a Freightliner semi-truck towing a trailer.
Officials say the Mercedes became stuck underneath the trailer and was dragged for a “short distance” before the truck driver pulled off to the shoulder and stopped.
Hagedorn was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger in the car, identified only as a 38-year-old woman from Bell, sustained major injuries and was flown to University Medical Center in Las Vegas.
The 48-year-old man driving the truck was uninjured.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
