San Leandro, California (August 3, 2022) – Authorities have identified 25-year-old Jonas Anthony Rivera-Sanchez of San Mateo as the man killed in a dirt bike accident on Saturday afternoon in San Leandro.
According to a local news source, the accident happened a while after 4:12 p.m. on July 30, on Washington Avenue near Castro Street.
Per the report, Rivera-Sanchez was riding his dirt bike when he crashed into a van for unknown reasons. The two were reportedly traveling in the same direction at the time of the incident.
The rider sustained critical injuries and was rushed to the hospital, where he died.
Authorities confirmed that the van driver remained at the scene after the incident, and was not hurt in the accident.

According to police, a 25-year-old man was riding a dirt bike in the area when he was involved in a collision with a van.
The rider, who was not wearing a helmet, was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
