An excavator operator was pinned against a rock by a piece of equipment that rolled over
Fresno County, CA.- A worker was killed in an excavator accident that happened at the Academy Quarry in Fresno County foothills on Tuesday morning, according to the authorities.
The incident took place in the area of 14147 Tollhouse Road just before 8 a.m. July 27.
An excavator operator was pinned against a rock by a piece of equipment that rolled over.
The worker, identified as Jonathan Swarthout, 35, of Los Banos, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
