Jordan Colvin Dies in Highway 12 Accident in Rio Vista
Rio Vista, California (July 29, 2022) – 20-year-old Jordan Colvin of Vacaville, was among four people who died in a traffic accident in Solano County on Wednesday evening, according to the coroner's office.
At around 8:15 p.m. on July 27, Colvin was driving a Honda Accord westbound on Highway 12 when he swerved off the roadway for unknown reasons.
Colvin then overcorrected into the eastbound side and collided head-on with an oncoming Chevrolet Suburban.
The wreck happened at Summerset Road.
Colvin and one of his two passengers were ejected by the impact of the collision.
Colvin's passengers were identified as Lacy Conway, 19, of Vacaville, and Erica Anderson, 18.
The three parties in the Honda and one passenger in the Chevrolet, identified as Laura Poiret, were all killed in the crash.
Six parties were taken to hospitals with unspecified injuries.
The seven occupants of the Chevrolet were Mexican nationals on vacation in California.
Authorities said several open alcohol containers were found in the Accord. It's unclear whether alcohol played a role in the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
