Mesa, AZ– Jordan Curtis was hospitalized after an incident where a concrete truck lost control and crashed into workers conducting cleanup along a Mesa highway on Wednesday morning
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the incident took place on US 60 near Val Vista Road at around 8 a.m. June 11.
Workers from the Desert Veterans were clearing debris from the roadway when a truck hit one of the employees and a work vehicle.
The driver of the truck reportedly swerved to avoid an overturned vehicle in the roadway.
The struck victim, identified as Curtis, was rushed to a trauma center with broken bones and lacerations.
No other injuries were reported in the incident.
The crash remains under investigation.
