, California (August 17, 2022) – Jorge Sanchez Juarez, 18, of Concord, has been identified as the person who died following a that took place early Monday morning in Concord, the California Highway Patrol said.

The wreck happened on east of Willow Pass Road at about 12:41 a.m. on August 15.

According to the report, Juarez was driving a yellow Chevrolet Camaro eastbound on SR 4 when he tried to pass a white Honda Accord but collided with the side of the Accord.

Juarez continued traveling east and was rear-ended shortly after by a Chevrolet Suburban.

CHP said Juarez died at the scene of the collision.

The driver of the Suburban sustained minor injuries while the driver of the Accord was not injured.

The incident is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.

, California (August 15, 2022) – One person was killed in a car crash that occurred early Monday morning in Concord.

According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Highway 4 near Willow Pass Road at around 12:41 a.m.

Two vehicles reportedly collided on the roadway shortly after midnight. The events leading up to the accident, however, were not immediately established.

CHP says one person was killed in the accident.

The identity of the deceased person was not immediately disclosed.

Additional information about the crash was not provided.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
