Authorities say a vehicle changed lanes on the freeway and collided with another car

Zillah, WA. – One person was killed in a car accident that happened in Zillah on Tuesday morning.
The fatal collision happened around 7:30 a.m. on Interstate 82 near milepost 52, according to the Washington State Patrol.

WSP and @WSDOT_East are on scene of a two car, fatality collision on I-82 near MP 52.
Traffic is being diverted at exit 52.

36-year-old Jorge Ochoa of Toppenish was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
Authorities say Ochoa was not wearing a seatbelt.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
