Jose Castrocota Injured in Deadly Rialto Crash on Cedar and Randall Avenues

Rialto, California (April 3, 2022) – Jose Castrocota, 21, was injured in a deadly collision involving a chase suspect in Rialto early Saturday morning, according to the authorities.
The chase started at around 1 a.m. April 2, in Colton when a vehicle driven by Alejandro Canchola, 24, of San Bernardino nearly collided with a police cruiser.
The Colton officer, suspecting that Canchola was driving drunk, started to pursue him.

The chase entered the westbound I-10 Freeway and passed through Fontana and other surrounding areas.
Canchola eventually stopped when he collided with a second driver in the area near Cedar and Randall avenues. Canchola's vehicle then left the roadway and slammed into a nearby house.
The occupants of the second vehicle, Aaron McDonald, 31, and Irene Jaramillo, 30, were both pronounced deceased at a hospital.
Canchola and his passenger, Castrocota, were both taken to a hospital for treatment.
Authorities said Canchola is expected to be arrested and booked into the San Bernardino County jail on murder charges.
The deadly wreck is under investigation.
