Yuma County, AZ – Jose Escobar, 43, has been identified as the man who was killed in a collision involving two vehicles in Yuma County on Wednesday morning, according to the Yuma County Sheriff's Office.
The wreck happened on Highway 95 and Avenue 3 1/2 E on Wednesday, May 8.
According to the report, a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling eastbound on Highway 95 when, for reasons still undetermined, it went across the centerline and collided with an oncoming 2015 Chrysler 200.
Escobar, who was driving the Chevrolet Silverado, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The other driver sustained major injuries and was rushed to Yuma Regional Medical Center.
According to the authorities, alcohol and drugs were not suspected to have played a role in the collision.
The investigation is ongoing.
