Romo was crossing a street in a marked crosswalk when she was struck by a 2002 Ford F-150 pickup truck

Oxnard, CA. – 67-year-old Josefina Romo has been identified as the pedestrian who died after being struck by a car at an intersection in Oxnard on Friday morning.
The fatal pedestrian accident happened at Oxnard Boulevard and Rose Avenue at around 5:22 a.m., according to the Oxnard Police Department.
Police say Romo was crossing a street in a marked crosswalk when she was struck by a 2002 Ford F-150 pickup truck that was traveling southbound on Oxnard Boulevard.
The Oxnard woman died at the accident scene, according to the Ventura County Fire Department.
The pickup truck driver, a 58-year-old Oxnard man, stopped at the scene and cooperated with the police.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
