Joseph Capasso Killed in Manteca Pedestrian Accident on Yosemite Avenue at Airport Way

, CA. – Joseph Capasso, 49, has been identified as the who died after being struck by a car on Sunday night in Manteca.

The deadly collision was reported around 10:20 p.m. on West Yosemite Avenue at Airport Way, in front of the Kaiser Permanente Manteca Medical Center, according to the Manteca Police Department.

Capasso, a resident of Manteca, was walking in the area and was struck by a car driven by Blake Joseph Walker, 38, of Manteca.

Capasso was killed in the collision, according to the Medical Examiner's Office.

Walker was found to have been impaired by marijuana and was arrested for gross vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence of drugs.

The Manteca Police Department is investigating the accident.
