Joseph Gonzalez-Lederer Killed in Cathedral City Pedestrian Accident at East Palm Canyon Drive and Cree Road
Cathedral City, California (November 10, 2021) – The Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner has identified 61-year-old Joseph Gonzalez-Lederer as the male pedestrian who died following a traffic collision Sunday evening in Cathedral City.
On November 7, shortly after 7:30 p.m., officials received a crash report involving a vehicle and a pedestrian on East Palm Canyon Road, just east of Cree Road.
Gonzalez-Lederer was reportedly struck by a vehicle and was knocked down into the westbound lanes of East Palm Canyon upon the impact.

Joseph sustained major injuries and was pronounced dead in the accident.
The crash resulted in the closure of Eastbound and westbound traffic on East Palm Canyon Drive between Canyon Plaza and Golf Club Drive for an unknown time.
