Joseph Laurie Among 2 Men Injured in Blairsden Two-Vehicle Accident at Highways 70 and 89

Plumas County, California (December 17, 2021) –Joseph Edward Laurie, 57, was among two men who were injured in a Friday afternoon car crash near Blairsden, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The crash occurred shortly before 2:00 p.m. at the intersection of Highways 70 and 89.
According to the CHP, a 1999 green Jeep Cherokee was attempting to make a left turn from northbound Highway 89 onto eastbound Highway 70 when it collided with a 2004 black Honda Pilot that was traveling eastbound on Highway 70 towards Highway 89.
2 Men Injured in Plumas County Car Crash
Laurie, who was the driver of the Jeep, was airlifted to Renown Medical Center while the Honda's driver, 51-year-old Dwayne Elliot Norton of Portola, was taken by ground ambulance to the same hospital. Their condition was not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
