Juan Cisneros ID'd as Victim of Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash at Cairo Avenue and Cesar Chavez Street in Coachella
Coachella, California (December 14, 2021) – The Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner's Office has identified the person who died Monday night following a two-vehicle collision in Coachella as Juan De Dios Cisneros, 30, of Coachella.
The deadly crash occurred at about 8:20 p.m. Monday, December 14, at the intersection of Cairo Avenue and Cesar Chavez Street.
Authorities said two vehicles collided under unclear circumstances at the Coachella intersection.
Coachella Resident Killed in Cairo Avenue Crash
Cisneros, who was a passenger in one of the vehicles, was pronounced dead at the scene at around 8:39 p.m. The driver of the same vehicle was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
Police blocked Cesar Chavez between Avenue 52 and Cairo Avenue for several hours.
No further details about the crash were immediately provided.
The accident remains under investigation.
