Juan Lugo Killed in Lemoore Collision on Jersey Avenue near 17th Avenue

, California (July 5, 2022) – Juan Jose Lugo, 52, of , was among two men killed in a collision with a DUI driver in Lemoore on Friday night, according to a local news source.

The incident took place at about 11:45 p.m. on July 1, on Jersey Avenue, west of 17th Avenue.

CHP said Santana Yanez, 26, of Lemoore, was driving a 2020 Toyota Corolla east on Jersey Avenue at a high rate of speed when he crashed into a 2006 Nissan Quest minivan exiting the Palace Casino Resort.

Lugo was a passenger in the Nissan, which was being driven by Alberto Verduzco, 64, of Fresno. 

Both occupants of the Nisan died in the collision.

Yanez was airlifted to Kaweah Health Medical Center with major injuries. He was also arrested for DUI following the incident.

The authorities are conducting an investigation into the incident.

Lemoore, California (July 2, 2022) – Two men were killed in a suspected DUI collision in Lemoore late Friday night, the California Highway Patrol said.

The incident took place just before midnight on Jersey Avenue west of 17th Avenue.

CHP said Santana Yanez, 26, of Lemoore, was driving eastbound on Jersey Avenue at a high rate of speed when he collided with the driver's side of a Nissan that was exiting the Palace Casino Resort.

Two men in the Nissan were both killed in the collision.

Yanez was flown to Kaweah Health Medical Center for treatment of major injuries.

He was also arrested on DUI charges following the collision, authorities said.

The CHP is investigating the incident.
