Glendale, AZ – A male pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle at a Glendale intersection late Saturday night.
The deadly crash happened around 10 p.m. on July 12 in the area of 83rd Avenue and Camelback Road.
Authorities said a pedestrian, identified as 46-year-old Juan Vasquez, was struck by a vehicle. Responding crews transported Vasquez to a nearby hospital, where he died.
A preliminary investigation revealed that Vasquez attempted to cross 83rd Avenue outside a marked crosswalk when he was struck by the vehicle.
Phoenix police said the involved driver remained at the scene and is facing DUI charges.
The crash remains under investigation.
