Juana Robledo Hurt in San Jose Pedestrian Crash on Castlemont Avenue

San Jose, California (September 21, 2022) – Juana Robledo, 44, was injured in a deadly pedestrian accident that occurred in San Jose on Friday morning, according to a local news source.
The boy Robledo was babysitting died when the pair were struck by a vehicle at around 8:03 a.m. September 17, on Castlemont Avenue at Driftwood Drive near Castlemont Elementary School.
San Jose police said Jacob Villanueva, 8, and Robledo were in the crosswalk trying to cross the street when they were hit by a 2022 black Mercedes Crossover.
The pedestrians were taken to a hospital, where the boy was pronounced deceased shortly after.
Robledo was hospitalized with a broken leg and was expected to make a full recovery.
The operator of the Mercedes, Shiva Moozoun, and a passenger in her vehicle were uninjured.
Alcohol and drugs were not suspected in the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
