Reedley, CA.– An elderly pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle at a crosswalk in Reedley on Tuesday morning, according to the Fresno County Coroner's Office.
The crash happened at 10th and G streets at around 8:15 a.m. September 10.
The Reedley Police Department said Juanita Ayala, 77, of Reedley, was trying to cross the intersection in a crosswalk when she was hit by a vehicle.
Ayala was taken to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno, where she was pronounced deceased.
Alcohol and drugs were not believed to have played a role in the incident.
The crash is under investigation.
