Willits, CA. – A man was killed in a car crash on Sunday night in Willits, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The fatal collision happened around 11 p.m. on Valley Road east of Davidson Road.
Julian Franks, 30, of Willits, was driving a 1985 Toyota pickup eastbound on Valley Road and his vehicle was partially in the westbound lane when it sideswiped by a 2022 Honda Accord.
The collision caused the pickup truck to overturn.
Franks was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the accident scene by the Mendocino County Sheriff's Coroner's Office.
The condition of the Honda driver, identified only as a 16-year-old female resident of Willits, was not disclosed.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
