Kalia Bess Identified as Woman Killed in Madera County Crash on Highway 41 near Avenue 15

Madera County, California (September 16, 2022) – Kalia Emani Bess, 23, of Fresno, has been identified as the woman who was killed in a head-on collision that occurred in Madera County on Thursday morning, according to the Madera County Sheriff's Office.
The deadly incident took place at about 8:16 a.m. September 15, on Highway 41 north of Avenue 15.
According to CHP, a pickup was heading north on Highway 41 when it collided with a northbound sedan in another lane at a section where the two lanes merge into one.
The impact caused the sedan to spin out of control and it ended up in the southbound lane, where it collided head-on with an SUV.
Bess was the driver of the sedan and was killed in the collision.
Further details on the incident were not released.
The CHP is conducting an investigation into the crash.

Madera, California (September 15, 2022) – At least one person was killed in a car crash in Madera on Thursday morning.
At around 8:16 a.m., the California Highway Patrol received reports of a traffic collision on Highway 41 near Avenue 15.
Officials say a BMW collided with a second vehicle on the roadway in unclear circumstances.
At least one person was killed in the accident.
The identity of the deceased person was not immediately disclosed.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
