Carlsbad, CA. – 23-year-old Karla Levya has been identified by the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office as the pedestrian who died after being struck by a car in Carlsbad on Tuesday morning.
The fatal auto-pedestrian accident happened in the 2200 block of Las Palmas Drive at around 12:30 a.m.
The Carlsbad woman had just parked her car and was standing next to it when she was hit by an oncoming vehicle.
Levya was killed in the collision.
More details about the accident were not immediately released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
