Kevin Marbury ID'd as Man Killed in Riverside Collision on 91 Freeway near Adams Street
Riverside, California (October 17, 2021) – The Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner's Bureau has identified the man who died early Sunday morning following a multi-vehicle collision in Riverside as Kevin Marbury, 57, of Riverside.
The deadly wreck occurred just before 4:47 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of the Riverside (91)Freeway, just west of Adams Street.
Several vehicles, including a possible wrong-way car, were involved in the accident. The exact number of the vehicles, however, was not mentioned.
Victim in Deadly Car Crash on 91 Freeway Identified as Riverside Man
Authorities responded to the scene after receiving reports of the crash with a body lying in traffic lanes. The coroner was called to the scene.
Marbury was pronounced dead at the scene.
The wreck, whose cause remained unknown, left the entire freeway closed. The westbound lanes were reopened at 7:00 a.m.
CHP is investigating the incident.
