Kevin Rabedew Injured in Redding Accident at Oasis Road and Akrich Street
Redding, California (July 23, 2022) – Kevin Rabedew, 30, of Redding, was critically injured in a collision involving a suspected DUI driver in Redding on Sunday morning, according to the authorities.
The incident took place at Oasis Road and Akrich Street at around 8:09 a.m. on July 17.
According to the report, Rabedew was driving a Ford Focus westbound on Oasis Road when it was struck at the intersection by a Dodge Ram traveling north on Old Oregon Trail.
Rabedew was rushed to UC Davis Medical Center with critical injuries.
The driver of the Dodge, Darin Rogers, 61, was detained on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and marijuana.
He was booked into the Shasta County Jail on charges of DUI and causing bodily injury.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
