Long Beach, CA – The who was hit and killed by two vehicles on in Long Beach Tuesday night has been identified.

The Medical Examiner's office identified the victim as 40-year-old Kurtis Haynes.

Authorities said Haynes was hit by two vehicles at about 8:54 p.m. on June 24 on the transition road from the northbound San Diego (405) Freeway to the southbound Long Beach (710) Freeway.

Haynes was pronounced dead at the scene.

Long Beach, CA – A pedestrian died in a traffic collision that happened Tuesday night on a transition road in Long Beach, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The incident occurred around 8:54 p.m. on the transition road from the northbound San Diego (405) Freeway to the southbound Long Beach (710) Freeway.

CHP officers and other emergency personnel responded to the scene.

A pedestrian was reportedly hit by two vehicles under unclear circumstances.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
