Juanita Ruffner, 79 and Jesus Garcia Ibarra, 30, died in the crash that happened Monday morning near East Palmdale Boulevard and 152nd Street East.
Los Angeles County, CA. – The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office identified the two people who died in a car accident in the Antelope Valley's Lake Los Angeles area.
Juanita Ruffner, 79 and Jesus Garcia Ibarra, 30, died in the crash that happened Monday morning near East Palmdale Boulevard and 152nd Street East.
According to the California Highway Patrol, firefighters and paramedics responded to the area after they received reports of a car collision around 11:40 a.m.
At least two cars collided under unclear circumstances, and one of them struck a power pole. One of the vehicles acquired heavy traffic damage and overturned onto its side.
Ruffner and Ibarra died from injuries they sustained in the accident.
At least two others were treated for unspecified injuries.
An investigation to determine the cause of the crash is ongoing.
