8-Year-Old LaBraun Brown Killed, 5 Injured in 3-Vehicle Crash at Calvine Road and Power Inn Road in Sacramento
Sacramento County, California (December 16, 2021) – 8-year-old LaBraun Brown died Tuesday, three days after being seriously injured in a multi-vehicle crash in Sacramento.
The deadly accident occurred on Saturday, December 11, at the intersection of Calvine Road and Power Inn Road.
According to the authorities, three vehicles collided at the intersection for undetermined reasons.

Brown, who was in one of the vehicles, was transported to a nearby hospital with critical injuries.
Brown's mother, Sonia Mata, 46, and brother, LauReal Mata, 13, were also hospitalized in critical condition. On Tuesday, December 14, Brown's condition deteriorated, and he succumbed to his injuries.
Three other people sustained life-threatening injuries in the crash.
A GoFundMe account has been created to help cover funeral costs and ongoing medical expenses for Sonia and LauReal Mata.
The crash remains under investigation.
