A car was traveling eastbound on Sellards Road when it swerved into the westbound side and collided with an oncoming semi truck
Benton County, WA – Laffette Battle, 53, of Federal Way, was killed in a collision involving a semi-truck in Benton County on Friday night, according to the Benton County Sheriff's Office.
The wreck took place on Sellards Road near Clodius Road at about 9:30 p.m. May 24.
According to the report, a car was traveling eastbound on Sellards Road when it swerved into the westbound side and collided with an oncoming semi truck.
One occupant of the car, identified as Battle, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The second party in the car was taken to a hospital with unspecified injuries.
The operator of the semi was not injured.
Authorities are working to determine the cause of the collision.
