1 Sustains Serious Injuries in Lakeport Car Crash on Highway 29 at Argonaut Road
Lakeport, California (August 26, 2021) – One person was hospitalized after a major injury collision that happened Thursday morning in Lakeport, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The wreck was reported at about 10:10 a.m. on Highway 29 at Argonaut Road.
A gray Jeep Cherokee and a gray sedan were involved in the accident.
The vehicles were blocking both lanes of the highway after the collision, and one of them caught fire in the engine.
One person was possibly trapped inside one of the cars.
One of the drivers sustained severe injuries. Paramedics responded to the scene and transported the patient to the hospital.
No other details about the accident were available.
CHP is investigating to establish the cause of the wreck.
