An 84-year-old male passenger of the Mitsubishi was pronounced dead at the accident scene

Mojave, Calif. – An 84-year-old Lancaster man was killed in a car accident that happened on Friday afternoon in Mojave.
The fatal collision occurred in the Stater Bros. parking lot off State Route 14 at around 3:32 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
Police say Sherry Marie Adams was driving a 2018 Mitsubishi sedan south on the highway and was turning left into the Stater Brothers parking lot when she collided with a northbound 1998 Infiniti sedan driven by Nathan Reyes, 53.
An 84-year-old male passenger of the Mitsubishi was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
Police say driver impairment was not suspected as a factor in the collision.
The CHP Mojave Area office is investigating the cause of the accident.
