Linn County, OR – The Oregon State Police has identified a victim killed in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 99 in Linn County Sunday night as Laura Marie Howard, 48,of Corvallis.
The traffic collision was reported at around 9:13 p.m. on July 20 on State Route 99E near Cartney Drive.
Investigators revealed that a green Toyota Tacoma driven by Howard (48)was headed westbound on Highway near Cartney Drive when it entered the intersection without stopping at the stop sign.
The Tacoma was struck by a southbound white Freightliner semi-truck and trailer operated by 31-year-old Barret E. Morrison of McMinnville.
Howard was declared dead at the crash site.
Morrison and his passenger, 56-year-old Eric Sean Fisher of Newberg were not injured.
The highway was impacted for about three hours as officers investigated the scene.
No further information about the accident was provided.
An investigation is underway.
