One Person Suffers Major Injuries in Le Grand Crash on State Route 99 near Le Grand Road Off-Ramp
Merced County, California (December 28, 2021) – One person was seriously injured after a car rear-ended a semi-truck Monday afternoon in Le Grand, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The major injury collision happened at around 1:50 p.m. Monday, December 27, on State Route 99 near Le Grand Road exit.
According to the CHP, a passenger car crashed into the back of a big rig in the northbound lanes of State Route 99.
The passenger car flipped on its roof due to the impact of the collision.
Major Injury Crash in Le Grand
Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and extricated an unknown number of people who were trapped in the wreckage.
Authorities said one patient was taken to a hospital with major injuries. The name of the victim and their current condition were not disclosed.
The crash remains under investigation.
