Temecula, CA. – 39-year-old Leland Franklin has been identified as a pedestrian fatally injured in a Friday night crash in Temecula.
According to a police report, the wreck happened at around 9:55 p.m. on April 26 on Winchester Avenue near Promenade Mall East.
Franklin was crossing the roadway when for unknown reasons he was hit by a vehicle.
Franklin was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
Drugs and alcohol were not believed to have played a role in the crash.
No additional details regarding the wreck were provided.
