Linette Wood Killed in Weldon Car Crash on Highway 178 near Kelso Creek Road
Weldon, California (February 10, 2022) – 59-year-old Linette Wood of Onyx has been identified by the Kern County Coroner's Office as the woman who died in a crash that happened east of Weldon late last month.
A pickup truck and a sedan collided just before 11:45 a.m. January 29, on Highway 178 near Kelso Creek Road.
The vehicle reportedly collided head-on on the highway for unknown reasons.

CHP said Wood died at the site of the collision.
At least one other party was taken to a hospital with unspecified injuries.
The cause of the wreck is under investigation.
