Lisa Trevino Among 3 People Killed in Modesto Crash on Highway 132
Modesto, California (August 29, 2021) – Lisa Trevino, 40, of Ceres, has been identified as one of the three parties who were killed in a Saturday night traffic accident that left several other people injured in Modesto, authorities said.
The deadly accident occurred at about 9:10 p.m., on August 28, on Highway 132.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a 2007 Chevrolet Suburban, driven by Aurelia Amezcua, 49, of San Jose, was headed westbound on Highway 132, approaching the San Joaquin River bridge attempting to pass a big rig.
Amezcua accelerated and crossed the center lines into the eastbound lane, directly into the path of a 2011 Nissan Versa being driven by Trevino. Unfortunately, the two vehicles collided head-on.
Following the collision, the two vehicles came to rest on their wheels within the eastbound lane and the shoulder south of the roadway.
