Man Killed in Long Beach Motorcycle Accident on Broadway and Alamitos Avenue
Long Beach, California (January 1, 2022) – A motorcyclist died after he rear-ended an SUV Saturday morning at an intersection in Long Beach, as per a local news source.
The crash occurred at about 2:15 a.m. on Broadway and Alamitos Avenue.
According to the Long Beach Police Department, a man was riding a motorcycle eastbound on Broadway at a high rate of speed when he crashed into the rear of an SUV that was stopped at a red light at the intersection.
Paramedics and other emergency crews responded to the incident and took the rider to the hospital, where he died from his injuries.
No one in the SUV was hurt.
Police said they are investigating speed, impaired driving, and distracted driving as possible contributing factors.
