1 Killed in Los Angeles Crash on Santa Monica (10) Freeway at La Cienega Boulevard Off-Ramp
Los Angeles, California (January 22, 2022) – One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash on a freeway in Los Angeles early Saturday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
At about 4:30 a.m., CHP officers responded to the La Cienega Boulevard off-ramp of the eastbound Santa Monica (10) Freeway to investigate a report of a motor vehicle accident.
Two vehicles collided on the freeway, the CHP reported. One of the vehicles rolled over upon the impact while the other came to rest on the right shoulder of the freeway.
Deadly 10 Freeway Crash
One person died in the crash. The identity of the victim was being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The La Cienega off-ramp and the No. 4 lane of the freeway were shut down for an unknown time following the wreck.
The accident remains under investigation by the CHP.
