Louie Jackson III Arrested after Solano County DUI Crash on Interstate 80
Solano County, California (September 13, 2022) – Louie F. Jackson III, 35, of Vallejo, was arrested on suspicion of DUI after a crash that left two CHP officers hospitalized on Sunday morning in Solano County, according to authorities.
The incident happened at around 2 a.m. September 11, on Interstate 80, east of American Canyon Road.
According to the report, Jackson was driving an SUV westbound on I-80 when he drifted off the roadway and collided with a CHP patrol car parked on the side.
The patrol vehicle then struck two officers standing outside. The officers were reportedly conducting a traffic stop when they were hit.
One of the officers was airlifted with major injuries to a trauma center while the second was transported by ambulance with less serious injuries.
Jackson was arrested in suspicion of felony DUI causing injury and driving with a blood-alcohol content of 0.08 or higher. He was booked into the Solano County Jail.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
