Kristy Klaus and Kayden Davis Killed in Lucerne Valley Crash at State Route 247 and Camp Rock Road
Lucerne Valley, California (April 10, 2022) – Authorities are investigating a deadly Friday night crash that claimed the lives of two Lucerne Valley girls.
Authorities said that Kristy Klaus and Kayden Davis, both 16 years old, were killed in a two-car crash at the intersection of Highway 247 and Camp Rock Road. The crash occurred at about 9 p.m. Friday, April 8, 2022.
Klaus and Davis, who were sophomores at Lucerne Valley Middle/High School, were in the back seat of the vehicle driven by Klaus' grandmother at the time of the crash.
Three people, including the drivers, were injured in the crash. Klaus' grandmother and the other driver were flown to the hospital, while the third patient was transported to a hospital by ambulance.
No additional details regarding the accident were provided.
