Man Killed, Another Injured in Madera Crash on Avenue 7 near Highway 99
Madera, California (September 30, 2021) – A man was killed and another was injured early Thursday morning in a two-vehicle collision in Madera, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The deadly crash was reported at about 5:15 a.m. on Avenue 7 near Highway 99.
A Honda Civic collided head-on with a Chevy S-10 pickup truck on Avenue 7, CHP said.

Emergency personnel responded to the scene and extricated both drivers from their vehicles. Sadly, one of the drivers was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The other driver was transported to a hospital in unknown condition.
A dog in the bed of the pickup truck was taken from the scene by Animal Control. It was not immediately clear if the dog sustained injuries in the collision.
No further details were immediately provided.
The crash remains under investigation.
