Merced, CA. – At least one person sustained major injuries in a two-vehicle collision that happened Friday evening in Merced.
Around 5:53 p.m., California Highway Patrol officers responded to Kahlon Road near Doppler Road after they were notified about the crash.
The officers found a truck pulling an empty cow trailer involved in a collision with another vehicle. One of the truck's wheels was catching fire after the crash.
At least one person suffered serious injuries in the accident. The victim was taken to the hospital by responding firefighters.
One of the cars was occupied by a child but it was not clear if the juvenile was hurt.
Authorities are investigating the collision.
