Three vehicles collided in the southbound lanes of the highway near Cohasset Road off-ramp.
Chico, CA. – Several juveniles were involved in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Thursday evening in Chico, the California Highway Patrol said.
The collision was reported around 5:37 p.m. on southbound State Route 99 near Cohasset Road off-ramp.
A Toyota Corolla, a Dodge minivan, and a Ford Explorer Sport Trac were involved in the crash.
The report said major injuries were sustained in the accident. Several juveniles suffered lacerations and complained of pain. Emergency personnel responded to the scene and offered medical aid to the victims.
A sweeper responded to the scene to clean debris that was scattered in all traffic lanes.
CHP officers are investigating the collision.
