According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision was reported around 2:48 a.m. on southbound Highway 14 just north of the 5 Freeway.
Authorities said an unknown car overturned onto its side, blocking the slow lane under unclear circumstances.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and transported at least one person to the hospital with major injuries.
