Modesto, CA. – At least one person was severely injured in a big rig accident that took place Thursday morning in Modesto, the California Highway Patrol said.
The collision was reported just after 10 a.m. on State Route 99, just south of the Kansas Avenue off-ramp.
A big rig and a sedan were involved in the wreck.
First responders found the sedan in the center divider and the big rig on the right-hand shoulder.
At least one person sustained major injuries in the accident.
Firefighters closed the No. 1 lane following the collision.
CHP officers are investigating to determine the factors that contributed to the crash.
