Two vehicles were reportedly to have collided head-on on the highway for unknown reasons

Modesto, Calif. – Authorities are investigating a serious injury head-on collision on Highway 59 in Modesto Thursday morning.
According to a police report, the collision happened at around 6:22 a.m. on State Route 59 just north of Cooperstown Road.
Two vehicles were reportedly to have collided head-on on the highway for unknown reasons.
One person sustained severe injuries in the collision.
