San Mateo, Calif. – At least one person was seriously injured in a multi-vehicle collision on Highway 92 in San Mateo Monday afternoon.
The California Highway Patrol said the collision happened at around 4:04 p.m. on the eastbound State Route 92 at Highrise.
A Toyota 4Runner, a Mercedes C Class, and a GMC Sierra were involved in the accident. The manner in which they collided were not immediately established.
One driver of the involved vehicles sustained significant injuries and another one was hospitalized for a complaint of pain.
The identities of the victims were not immediately released.
An investigation into the wreck is ongoing.
