Richland, WA. – Authorities are investigating a serious injury hit-and-run collision near Columbia Center Boulevard in Richland early Sunday morning.
According to a police report, the auto-pedestrian crash happened near Columbia Center Boulevard and State Route 240 at around 1:30 a.m. on May 5.
The driver of possibly an early-to-mid 2000s Toyota Avalon or Lexus IS/GS struck a pedestrian on the roadway in unclear circumstances before fleeing the scene.
The pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment.
The identity of the victim was not immediately disclosed.
The driver is at large.
No additional information about the mishap was available.
